Methods
Piano instruction is designed to be progressive, building piano skills while retaining interest through fun, engaging repertoire. Lessons are carefully structured to each individual music journey. The core methods used for beginning students are Schaum Finger Power and Alfred Piano Lesson, Theory, and Solo instruction to level 6. Scales and Chords are introduced at level 2-3, using my published Scales and Chords books. Beyond level 6, I use Hanon and Czerny for technique, Brimhall for theory, and progressive pieces to advance skill level. Students are encouraged to choose repertoire they enjoy from Classical, Broadway, Jazz, Movie, and Pop genres. All students are assessed at the free trial lesson and placed according to their skill.
